From moviesonline, TV Guide sat down and talked to Spielberg about his upcoming movie Indiana Jones 4 which try as I might I am still not very excited about. He talked with them specifically about his role that Sean Connery did not want. He tells TV Guide ( Via Empire )that he intended the role to be a cameo.
"In the beginning, he was just in a little bit of it, and I think with the strength of Sean Connery, people would've wanted him to go all the way through the whole thing, and the story really didn't work that way," Lucas told the magazine. "And so I think there would've been some disappointment that [his character] dropped out partway through the movie. By having somebody else fill that role, you lose him without any regret, so to speak, even though we got a great actor to play the part. And I mean, he's not his father, so it's much easier...."
Harrison Ford, is back as Indiana Jones begins his next adventure, Harrison Ford dons the familiar costume of the globe-trotting archaeologist. The new film, which is set in the 1950s, is currently in production.

Ouch. Not a very encouraging picture. Harrison Ford looks like any other old man would if he were on the back of a motorcycle. The word "whippersnapper" comes to mind.
Anybody notice that Spielberg morphs into Lucas halfway through this article? I was briefly considering a "I knew they were the same person!" joke, but they're so obviously not.
