Jordan renders II
Here are six models I've been working on recently as jpx mentioned. You can click and then click again for larger versions.
The Nostromo sure is creepy looking, isn't it? A side-by-side "car dealership showroom" comparison like this emphasizes how even the innocuous parts of that movie have an ominous, unsafe mood to them.
UPDATE: 1) That is indeed the ESB Falcon complete with red accents etc. Note that they used a CGI Falcon in the Special Edition of ANH ...and they used the ESB Falcon, because come on, it's so much more badass. 2) QuickTime of Sesame Street flying camera test here.

JPX sucks, right?
The Nostromo is indeed creepy looking. I don't think you ever get a really good look at it in the film. It looks more like a deadly bug than a ship. I love all the ships you rendered, although I've generally been less enthusiastic about the ships from the new SW trilogy.
Oh, I've complained a lot about those "candy-ass" Naboo fighters.
My feeling now is that TPM takes place in such a "candy-ass" era that it makes sense their spacecraft would look like that. But I agree the Naboo fighter doesn't exactly convey urgency or menace.
I'm adding lights to the Nostromo. In the clearest view you get in the movie, the ship is barely visible through the fog and murk on the planet's freezing surface but its underbelly floodlights are all lit up like a ball park.
I love the horror movie conceit: Weland-Yutani Corp. puts seven crew-members alone on a very dark spacecraft the size of a French Cathedral. If you don't like the atmosphere, find another job.
"candy-ass" indeed! I can't really think of any ships from the new trilogy that come close to the coolness of the OT. I like General Grievous' Wheel Bike though
