My entry in the Lego Speeder Bike contest got the last possible prize available! I'm the fourth entry in the Special Honor category, but one of the higher-up entries already won in another category. You can see the winners here.
The Special Honor category emerged when a Lego-compatible gun making company called Brickarms donated the prizes below, so the items in one of those columns are coming my way (I hope it's column A or C, because of phasers).
First rule of Horrorthon is: watch horror movies. Second rule of Horrorthon is: write about it. Warn us. Tempt us. The one who watches the most movies in 31 days wins. There is no prize.

Hey, that's fantastic! Congratulations. I didn't comment before (on your previous post) but I totally dig the spraying lava trick.
It reminds me of all the great stop-motion tricks that I like so much (as I've mentioned elsewhere). I know I'm all "Mr. Digital"/"Mr. CGI" all over the place but the penguin "The Thing" film and my recent viewing of "A Grand Day Out" totally rekindled my love for straight-up stop-motion (especially when it's, as you told me Nick Park or one of his minions said, "really thumby"). There's something about stop-motion water, flame, smoke, etc. that's just so fantastically wonderful. (I think post-production SFX tends to blunt the beauty of stop-motion, even when Aardman does it--that's why "A Grand Day Out" is my new favorite Wallace & Gromit.)
But I'm changing the subject. Great stuff man! Banking over lava.
Yay!!! That is excellent! Desroc was commenting on how cool it was to watch you make that motorcycle for Jake. He couldn't believe how quickly you worked.
You sir, rock.
Yay! Congrats Octo, I loved your entry.
Congrats, dude! I had a feeling that you would win something, that creation is awesome. Someday Zach's friends will be jealous that he has such a cool dad.
Congrats Octo! You realized you just jinxed yourself into the column B prize, right?
I can't check out the other winners at work but I'm gonna go under the assumption that they all suck compared to yours.
This was super cool. I don't wanna wreck the surprise, but we just did a LEGO remodel of Jeff's collection, so building here should become even easier.
congratulations!!!
yes! totally worthy. the lava concept in general was a great one, but tweaking the bike to be heavier and more lava friendly was brilliant.
nice work, my friend.
