Amazing!
I think the last one's a self-portrait.
What's a "Larper Geek?"
Somebody didn't watch Beauty and the Geek this time. LARP = Live Action Role Playing.
I think it's pretty much royalty in terms of geekdom.
Aaahhh. Thanks, landshark - all up on our D&D terms aren't we?
I was at a lame party some years ago and I overheard a woman discussing "vampire larp." I interjected myself into the knot of talkers, asking "did you just say 'larp'?"
That's where I learned that LARP means what it does. Oddly, I was the loser weirdo at that party.
The other moment I recall from that party was a guy holding up a book and proudly proclaiming it to be "the Viking Bible." He had a sorta Viking look going.
I think the LARP geeks and the Ren Faire geeks have a lot of overlap.
Overlarp?
Yes, but Geek is the new cool. That is why all those cool people knew about larp. Larp sounds like a dead carp. Also. Lego Geek should be a horror movie. Also. I want to see Con Geeks in action! and hear them speak! and poke 'em with a stick!
You should come to San Francisco on February 22nd! Wondercon! JPX, Johnny Sweatpants and I are going to geek out hard. Also I'mnotMarc, to a lesser degree.
