Octopunk at the Superbowl

Over the holidays I was waving pics of this fake building in as many faces as I could, it's part of the stinger logo shot for a series of Careerbuilder.com commercials that aired during the Superbowl yesterday. And that shot was done by the gang at Screen Novelties, which is a gang that includes me. Woo hoo!

You can check out one of the commercials here. I had nothing to do with the spider or any of that, just the bit at the very end. We actually dropped a weighted set of acrylic letters on top of that building, which was made of strips of scored plaster and breakaway glass (which is glass made out of sugar, used for bottles in cinematic bar fights and the like). It took a lot of work from a big group of people, but a detail that's all me is that tan car in the foreground there, which I painted tan and "Greeked out," meaning I made it look less like whatever kind of car that is and more generic.

Anyway, lots of work and lots of fun. Hope you like it.

I was totally psyched when I realized that was the commercial - Casey and I got all pumped up.

Of course, the rest of that night can NEVER BE MENTIONED AGAIN!
