(2010) ***
This is the third short film from the Deadtime Stories, Vol. 2. In this one, a security guard lives in a home with his sick, dying wife. Oh, did I mention that the house they live in is on a cemetary? Nice twist, huh? Bet you didn't see it coming.
So anyway, this security guard works at a lab where a scientist does research on some dust they just got back from Mars. In casual conversation, this scientist says that the dust just might cure cancer or whatever it is that is making the guard's wife sick. So of course, the guard steals some dust and puts it in his wife's iv. Instantly, she becomes a total nymphomaniac. Thus, there's lots of nudity and a fairly gross sex scene since the guard is an older overweight guy. But of course, the Mars dust wears off, and the guard needs to get more...
This isn't a great film, but it was by far the best of the three in this anthology. The setting on the cemetary is cool and has a nice little payoff at the end. It's also the most edgy in terms of the sex scene and the eventual zombie cannibalism that results. It's still not a good film, but it was entertaining.

I watched the original Deadtime Stories last year and I've toyed with the idea of watching Part 2, which streams on Netflix. Usually anthology films have one really good story and the rest are crap. I'll be curious about your final summation of this film.
"...the eventual zombie cannibalism that results." ~ Wait, what?
Yeah, I also thought that was an odd throwaway point to make. But you have to admit it's enticing.
You had me at "edgy in terms of the sex scene and the eventual zombie cannibalism".
How long are these Deadtime Stories anyway?
They're about 35 minutes each. And as for "zombie cannibalism", I didn't really mean zombies eating other zombies - that would have been a nice twist. I just meant eating other people. Sorry, that was pretty misleading.
Misleading but funny! I had the same reaction as Cat.
