Snore

From AICN, "As previously reported, the acclaimed 1984 Stephen King/Peter Straub novel “The Talisman” will become a TNT miniseries premiering summer 2008.

Now comes word that the project could continue as an ongoing series the following year.
You’ll recall that on other cable channels, both “The 4400” and “Battlestar Galactica” began life as miniseries.

Find the mention in the Hollywood Reporter’s story here."

This novel is "acclaimed?" You can just stick that word on anything, I guess.

And what the hell is this here?

"You’ll recall that on other cable channels, both 'The 4400' and 'Battlestar Galactica' began life as miniseries."

Oh, fantastic. That's like writing about a movie and saying "you may recall that Star Wars, another movie, was extremely successful."

LOL.

You're real good with that false logic, octo: you could work for the Washington press corps.

This novel by the way is not "acclaimed." A better descriptive word might be "mediocre." I only know one person who liked it.

(See that? Anecdotal evidence! I can go work for the Washington press corps too!)
