From geekology, For $499.99, LEGO is offering this Star Wars Millennium Falcon which they claim is the biggest LEGO set ever made. The kit contains 5195 pieces and, when completed, will stand almost 3 feet long. Each kit comes with a certificate of authenticity and the whole thing goes on sale in October.
This kind of makes me wish I wore a diaper today because, man, my pants haven't been this wet since, well, never. Because I don't wet myself. That's gross.

Ironically, I'm struggling with a huge beautiful model of the Millenium Falcon right now. (It's a digital model I've obtained and am transcoding and refining)
Cool! Can you post a pic when you're done?
Here are some recent snapshots of my spaceship garage, showing some new additions etc:

I love that octo and I both have four-letter obsessive geek modeling environments: he's got LEGO and I've got MAYA

I've just been scavenging, collecting models, transcoding them, improving them and cleaning them up; I didn't really make any of these.
Oh my God, I'm speechless, those are f'ing amazing, Jordan! Breathtaking.
Octo mentioned once that you were working on a virtual Sesame Street, did you ever finish that?
It's only partially done. That REALLY IS a scratchbuild job. Here's a recent photo.
The Nostromo looks so badass, doesn't it? I LOVE that ship design. Like everything else in the movie it's coming from a hardnosed sci-fi perspective that's utterly unlike anything else out there. A spacecraft the size of a city block with only seven people on board...
Also, the Naboo Cruiser is shweeet.
Wow, I love what you're doing with Sesame Street! I knew this guy who once tooka tour of the Sesame Street set when he was younger (I think he said it was a field trip, which would be the greatest field trip ever). I remember him remarking how strange it was to walk inside and then be on the "outside" street of the set. I was so jealous.
The Nostromo is amazing, and possibly the last really cool model, huh?
I spent some time on that set too, because my Dad did some work for CTW. I think he gave me the movie bug (the really potent virus) that day when I was five or whatever. I'm using photographs he took that day as references for the model.
You know, I saw an appeal to purchase a large Lego set for my personal benefit, and the post had 11 comments, and I thought "Wow, they're actually discussing this idea." I'll admit I'm a little disappointed.
Blame me for openly hijacking "your" topic
Those pictures are amazing Jordan! I had no idea you had such a menagerie.
I also love the Sesame Street and am extremely jealous that you went there!
Awesome.
