Jeez, 82 days until Halloween and I don't seem to have my horror movie craze meter back up to fall levels. Or, more to the point, I'm sick of Saw movies.
That trap basically took its idea from that Gene Wilder/Richard Pryor romp See No Evil/Hear No Evil (sort of): two guys in trap, one with eyes sewed shut and one with his mouth sewed shut. Now, did anyone notice that in all the hubbub the guy with his mouth sewed shut, the one who can see the situation and calm down his fellow victim -- did anyone notice he was holding a small hatchet? The kind of thing you could use to, I don't know...CUT the threads sewing your mouth shut? Argh.
I think I'm still down with serial killers and ghosts and monsters, but yeah, I'm over the torture porn thing. At least Saw's version. I'm tired of seeing random people in horrible situations totally losing their shit.
