My Falcon
It didn't cost me $499 (in fact, it didn't cost me anything): here's my Millenium Falcon model, which I did not make. Another modelmaker built this and shared it on a site. But I've "made a lot of special modifications myself," bringing the model into my own workshop and fiddling with the surfaces and sculpting. (I'm nowhere near done yet.)
Unlike the LEGO version discussed yesterday, this model does not contain 5195 pieces. However this model does contain slightly more than four million lines of code (which nearly brought my dual-processor G5 to its knees last night as I was re-painting all the textures).
LEGO Darth Vader sold separately.

Astounding Jordan! Truly beautiful.
Looks friggin' spectacular!
Remember that I DIDN'T MAKE THIS!
Man, Jordan, that must have taken you hours!
I'm just kidding. I'm sure it took the guy who made it a lot longer than that. Did you choose to park the Lego dude there or was that him?
Two questions, can you build me a falcon and why the hell aren't you working for ILM? That's smoking, man!
octo:
1) I'm ashamed to admit it did take me hours since I had to completely transcode and resurface the model (and make a new cockpit interior).
2) Of course the LEGO dude didn't "come with it!" How much sense would that make? I put it there for you, in the apparently erroneous belief that you would remember the whole joke about that digital LEGO Vader from last year.
"I'm ashamed to admit it did take me hours"
the fact that you can do this at all is mind-boggling to me! You could lock me into a SAW contraption and insist that I create a falcon like this or else death and I'd be dead.
Crap, I'm sorry, I don't remember that joke. You'll have fill me in the next time we talk.
Thanks for thinking of me, though.
