Kevin Spacey on Superman Returns

From Darkhorizons, "Insomniac Mania reports that Kevin Spacey appeared on ITV's Parkinson in the UK this week, and was asked about his role of Lex Luthor in the upcoming
"Superman Returns". When host Michael Parkinson commented that Spacey would be set up financially for the next ten years after starring in the blockbuster movie, Spacey
made the following comments about his involvement in the film as a franchise: "I'll be doing the second one, and quite possibly the third". Spacey apparently did not hesitate with a response to this question.

Meanwhile some storyboard images from the film are up at IESB, as are comments about the film from Rob Burnett."

I can't get past Spacey's brief turn as Dr. Evil in the beginning of Austen Powers 3. Every time I think of him as Luthor, he's got that pinky held up to his mouth.

I'm just a bit bummed that the Luthor character is going to be in all 3 films. I've never really liked the character and I was hoping this film would get away from it(unless he dons the cool armor from the Super Powers figure).

I feel like the post John Byrne Luthor had a lot more going for him, as a character. Of course, if we're working from Donner's movies that won't be the Luthor we see.
