Promising Horror Pics
Months after inking a development deal, Chris Columbus’ 1492 Pictures and Korean shingle CJ Entertainment are moving forward with three horror films this year. The two companies plan to produce a bigscreen adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s “The Graveyard Book,” which Neil Jordan is writing and will direct. Project revolves around an orphan raised by ghosts. Wayfare Entertainment, Framestore and Gaiman, whose “Coraline” bowed in theaters last year, will also produce. Columbus will pen “Carpe Demon,” based on Julie Kenner’s “Carpe Demon: Adventures of a Demon-Hunting Soccer Mom,” about a stay-at-home mother who is charged with cleaning up her demon-ridden small town. Scribes Kevin and Dan Hageman, and Michael Dougherty and Dan Harris had previously taken stabs at the script. Adam Green (”Hatchet”) will pen “Killer Pizza,” an action comedy about a 14-year-old who lands a summer job at Killer Pizza, which is a front for a monster-hunting organization. Project is based on Greg Taylor’s novel and will be produced by Raffaella de Laurentiis through her shingle.

Cool future Horrorthon reviews! I heard of the pizza movie recently but I cannot for the life of me recall where. I hope these get made this year. So far my October list is slim, I need more ideas...
For a second there I thought it was a movie about a killer pizza. The idea they came up with sounds a lot better.
