**1/2 (2010)
The first of three short films in the "Deadtime Stories Volume 2" anthology. This one is about 3 hikers, two of whom are engaged, who decide to go cave exploring without telling anybody. There's a collapse, one of the two is injured, and well, let's just say this is a gory version of Alive.
It's not bad. Short films can be bad when they feel like they're obviously trying to hurry the story along too much. Like here, the get trapped, then one minute later, you see the caption "13 days later". Wait! What happened over the first thirteen days? Then one minute later, you see the caption, "27 days later". There could have been a lot of dramatic tension about the need to survive as in 127 hours or Alive. Instead, it felt like they were pretty close to writing "Okay, they've been in the cave a month and now decide to eat the guy who was injured". But of course, they'll be rescued the next day.
There was some great gore in their scenes of cannibalism. But, instead of renting it, just enjoy the picture above, and how clean they utilized almost every part of the body!
First rule of Horrorthon is: watch horror movies. Second rule of Horrorthon is: write about it. Warn us. Tempt us. The one who watches the most movies in 31 days wins. There is no prize.

My god that picture is revolting and vomit inducing! Sounds great!
That really is an awesome picture. Glad they didn't let any of him go to waste.
Sounds like just the thing I'd like to watch before going on a cave-exploring adventure myself! JSP, how would you like to be spiced before I gobble on your forearm?
That photo is indeed an excellent illustration of what the movie's about. Your indictment of the accelerated plot is pretty funny -- what a copout.
GAH! That's horrid! The title pretty much sums it up, huh?
i'm with you on the jump in timing. i had problems with 30 Days of Night for that reason. it jumps from day two to like day 17 with no context given for what happens over that period of time.
confusion can be an effective element in a movie, when it's a gun fight and there's whirling around and you don't know where the bullets are coming from: when it's in a scale of seconds or moments. when it's days, it's annoying.
