Impressive, most impressive: Watch This Awesome '80s Anime-Style 'Star Wars' Short

From iwatchstuff, Typically, when the internet births its latest "What if [pop culture item] was made [in a decade and/or as a genre]" video, what's expected is a little re-cut trailer or something that might elicit a chuckle or two. What is not expected at all is a seven-minute opus that's been animated on someone's free time across four years. But that's exactly what we've got here with an awesome video that answers, "What if Star Wars was an '80s anime?" Mercifully, the answer does not include sarlacc tentacle rape.

A far shorter version of this has been online for a couple years now, but this is apparently artist and animator OtaKing77077's just-finished expanded and completed work, so it's definitely worth revisiting. Safe for work unless you work IT, in which case watching a heavy metal-drivenStar Wars anime at your desk is just way too fucking cliché.
