First rule of Horrorthon is: watch horror movies. Second rule of Horrorthon is: write about it. Warn us. Tempt us. The one who watches the most movies in 31 days wins. There is no prize.
That one kind of snuck up on me as well. Good ol ID4 has a special place in my heart, but I feel like Emmerich is basically a Michael Bay-level talent who had a lucky swing. Maybe it's Star Wars fever but I'm having difficulty getting enthused about this trailer.
That said, I'm almost certainly gonna see it on a big screen anyway, even if everybody says it's terrible. So what do I know.
Not to sound like a malcontent but I have always despised ID. Emmerich movies* just annoy the heck out of me from casting to plot contrivances like rescuing a pet dog while the world is ending, etc.
You kids get out of my yard and you're not getting your Frisbee back!
