Aren't they getting too old for this shit?
From worstpreviews, We know that Warner Bros Pictures have been trying to bring the fifth installment in the "Lethal Weapon" franchise for a while, but it quickly became clear that Mel Gibson is simply not interested. Now that Bruce Willis returned for one more "Die Hard" film, Sylvester Stallone returned for one more "Rocky" and "Rambo" and Harrison Ford returned for one more "Indiana Jones," film execs are back in talks with Gibson to convince him to reprise his role of Martin Riggs.
Speaking to Moviehole, a Warner Bros. insider revealed that "there's more 'Lethal' talk. Apparently the whole trend of resurrecting old action heroes, like John McClane and John Rambo has spurred them on. Twelve months after Gibson turned down the offer to do a fifth one, they're trying again."
Director Richard Donner also expressed interest in the project quite recently, having said: "It's up to Mel. If he says 'yes' then there's another Lethal Weapon. I have a great story, I'd love to do it and put Lethal Weapon to bed."

You ever hear of the game Celebrity? It's like charades but you're allowed to talk, and the thing you're trying to get folks to guess is some celebrity.
Julie's friend Jessie was playing this game, and had gotten to the "one word" round. She screwed up her face into a mask of hatred and said "Jews!" and everybody guessed Mel Gibson, which was right.
I'd be fine if they left this franchise alone. Just fine.
Agreed. I'm all set with Mel Gibson and this franchise. I don't think I'd watch it if it were a free movie on an airplane.
