"Puppetmaster" Getting a 3-D Remake

From worstpreviews, Bloody-Disgusting is reporting that writer Charles Band is now planning to remake his classic horror film "Puppetmaster," which was first released back in 1989 and went on to spawn nine sequels.

Band helmed the eighth direct-to-video installment back in 2004 and is now planning to make a new film, this time in 3-D.

In the original movie, a puppet maker discovers an ancient Egyptian potion and uses it to bring his creations to life. Unfortunately, he is a rather twisted fellow and his puppets become murderous little demons and eventually escape. Distraught, the master takes his life. Years later, psychics tune into the existence of the monstrous marionettes and set off to stop them.
