Box Office
From cinemablend, The Hunger Games seems to be more than what fans could have asked for as audiences flocked to theaters once again to hand the movie its second number one weekend. While dropping a hefty 60% from its record breaking $152 million opening last week, it's still in healthy shape. Crossing the $200 million mark in just 8 days, it became one of only five movies in history to ever achieve the feat.
Already the top selling movie of the year so far, The Hunger Games will easily hit $300 million in domestic sales and possibly wind up somewhere near the $375 million mark, making it a match for major movies set to arrive this summer, including sequels like The Avengers and The Dark Knight Rises.
