Ron Howard and Brian Grazer take on COLOSSUS?

No, not that Colossus! From AICN, "I admit, I'm a bad geek. I've never seen the 1970 film COLOSSUS: THE FORBIN PROJECT.

The original film was based on a novel by DF Jones and it was a precursor to TERMINATOR about a government build computer that becomes sentient and then becomes pissed off.

Brian Grazer got the rights to remake the flick, but is going to focus more on the novel by Jones and plans to have his screenwriter, Jason Rothenberg, incorporate the two following novels.
They're wanting Ron Howard to direct, but if they want to make the film in the next 2 years that probably won't happen. He's lined up for FROST/NIXON, which will be followed by the DA VINCI CODE sequel. My bet is you'll see Howard produce with Grazer and a hired director at the helm.

I love that they compare the original to Terminator when the obvious example is actually War Games.

But hey, I just thought of something else. How the heck are they going to film Angels and Demons? The whole story takes place in Rome and Vatican City and the Catholic Church hates The DaVinci Code and anything to do with it.

That's gonna be a whooooole lot of CG.
