Fedcon 2009 Opening Ceremony Star Trek Animation

Fedcon 2009 Opening Ceremony Star Trek Animation from Tobias Richter on Vimeo.

From toplessrobot, If you've seen this my apologies, but I figured not everyone knew that there's a big sci-fi nerdapalooza in Europe called Fedcon, and that the recent 18th edition got its own Star Trek CG cartoon. Made by Tobias Richter, the short shows the USS Kelvin inexplicably traveling through Saturn's rings -- when it would have been advisable and very easy to just go around -- when it's attacked by ships (are they Klingon? Romulan? Please let me know) and then the Kelvin just cries and wets itself metaphorically until the new Enterprise comes in and saves its ass. Even if it's a little goofy, it looks damn fine. Enjoy.
