Sounds interesting although I don't have a lot of faith in Syfy.
The Landscape TV head is really named J. J. Jamieson?
That is an unfortunate name.
I'd be interested to check this out if it's a drama; the expected approach would be comedy, a la the live action The Tick.
There's a very, very good comic called Powers about the branch of a homicide department that handles superhero-related cases. This could be a good untapped market.
Or, Syfy will screw it up.
Syfy seems to pour on the cheese. It's just so disappointing when they present a good concept then muck it up.
