In preparation for this years Horrorthon I have been visiting some local graveyards to set the mood.

I think most native New Englander's just take these wonderful sections of beautifully preserved history for granted.
We drive by them without a glance on our way to whatever keeps us busy in life.

I hope you are enjoying the experience through my eyes as much as I am enjoying it first hand. Happy Horrorthon!

Neat! Like the "ghosts."
Is that seriously the puzzle box from Hellraiser?
Thanks and no it's not real, I photoshopped the puzzle box over the strange stone cube that topped that grave marker.
Aw, man! I fell for that one.
Hehehehe :)
amazing images, catfreeek!
Thanks AC
These images are great - they help put me in the mood for horrorthon too!
Sadly, we don't have anything remotely close to that type of atmosphere in San Diego.
I grew up next to a historic graveyard. The people who lived in my house and the one in front are burried there. I used to imagine that their spirits periodically traveled in and out of my house. The kids in from the neighborhood would hang ghosts and other creepy things in the cemetery every Halloween. It totally freaked me out at night.
Wow, those pictures are just terrific, Catfreeek! I'm delighted to see some Halloween-themed posts in advance of Friday's big event.
