It's true. I'm reminded of the posters for the Schumacher Batman flicks. The movies were famously horrible, of course, but I recall being excited by the teaser posters that followed Batman Returns's Bat/Cat/Penquin formula by featuring a single character. Even Alicia Silverstone's Batgirl looked good. Then the final posters would emerge as cluttered messes that better foretold the movies' quality.
