Sleestacks coming soon to a theater near you

From worstpreviews, From stunts and heartbreaks to dinosaurs, comedic actor Danny McBride is on the move. The actor appeared in Hot Rod and The Heartbreak Kid last year, and IGN reports that the actor has been signed to Will Ferrell’s adaptation of Land of the Lost, playing Will to Ferrell’s Marshall. Now we just need our Holly to make the trio complete.

Ferrell is taking on the classic Sid and Marty Krofft story of a family trapped in a strange, dinosaur-inhabited world, by turning the tale into a spoof. Instead of a family, Ferrell will play a disgraced paleontologist who gets trapped in the alien world along with his assistant and a macho tour guide. I’m guessing Will is the macho tour guide, and Holly will be the assistant, although I’ll admit that’s a sexist guess.

McBride confirmed he’s taken the role and had just been to tour the “massive sets” that are being built for the movie. Please tell me there will be a cave for Ferrell and McBride to hide inside, along with a huge log for them to jam in the mouth of the dinosaur who traps them there. Ferrell can change this into a spoof, but some things just have to remain.
