Nope. Doesn't do it for me. What's with the wistful, far-off gaze? It looks like the cover of a Harlequin romance novel.

Hmm, I disagree. Were this a romance novel, his shirt would be three times more open and his pecs would be about as wide as his shoulders are now.

Aside from that, I totally agree.

Yeah, this is lame. What does this poster say? "Johnny Depp is in this, playing this character again." I realize that's the main hook, but fuck, Poster People...think of something for a change.

I wish they'd gone the Captain Nemo route as was theorized a long time ago.

But the motif for all the Pirates posters has been the simplicity. None of them depict anything except either a) a big Jolly Roger or b) the cast, standing there.

Nope. I want a big, flying Nautilus on fire crashing into the Fountain of Youth which is surrounded by fanged mermaids with machine-crossbows, or I'm not getting excited.

In truth I want to see it regardless of the poster design. Hoping it captures the zing of the first one now that Orlando Bloom and the messy storyline is gone.

Actually, Octo, I meant that he looked like the chick on the front of a Harlequin novel.
