Ringo Starr turns 70 with 'peace and love'

From usatoday, Did you help out Ringo Starr today?

The Beatle who is celebrating his 70th birthday today, was hoping that at noon, in honor of his special day, people all over the world would give a peace sign and say, "Peace and Love!"

Starr did the honors himself at the Hard Rock Cafe Times Square in New York. "It's really impossible to say how it feels to be 70 since yesterday I was only 69," he told Reuters. "Nothing's really happened. The clock has ticked and now I'm a day older."

Starr started this tradition in Chicago in 2008 and hopes to make it an annual ritual.

Noon in what time zone? Was this yesterday? This tradition is not very organized.
