Bad news, Liev Schreiber is Sabretooth in "Wolverine"

CHUD received a scoop from a trusted source that Liev Schreiber will not play the role of young Stryker in the upcoming "Wolverine" movie, but of Sabretooth. The site adds that the studio is currently looking at Michael C. Hall ("Six Feet Under", "Dexter") to play Stryker and Michelle Monaghan to play Silverfox.

Leading up to the events of "X-Men," "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" tells the story of Wolverine's epically violent and romantic past, his complex relationship with Victor Creed, and the ominous Weapon X program. Along the way, Wolverine encounters many mutants, both familiar and new, including surprise appearances by several legends of the X-Men universe.

At this point, "Wolverine" is scheduled to hit theaters on May 1st, 2009.
