John Carpenter is Back
From worstpreviews, ShockTillYouDrop has learned that John Carpenter is planning to return to the director's chair to helm his first feature film in seven years, entitled "LA Gothic." His last project was the 2001 "Ghosts of Mars," and he has also directed two "Masters of Horror" episodes, "Cigarette Burns" and "Pro-Life."
The new movie is actually five interwoven stories of high-octane horror centering on a vengeful ex-priest's efforts to protect his teenage daughter from the supernatural evils of L.A.'s dark side.
Casting is currently underway, with production set to begin sometime in March. Writers Jim Agnew and Sean Keller signed a pre-strike deal to develop the script.
