New Alien toy

From bloodydisgusting, Oh my freaking God!! We just received this announcement for what will be probably my favorite action figure of all time. In 1979, audiences were terrified by Ridley Scott's genre-redefining science fiction masterpiece: Alien. In 2008, fans finally get what they've been waiting for: an Alien 18" Action Figure from NECA! Captured in painstaking detail, the Alien hits shelves this spring. What makes this figure so special is the design includes the "human-esque" skull in the shell of the Alien's head, which was only used for this film. Read on for your first look at this mouth-watering figure and check this spot for more news as it comes in.

That looks cool. Is that a re-issuing of that huge Alien figure from long long ago?

It's not clear to me, it looks like the same sculpt but I think it's sturdier. Apparently that rare toy from the 1970s was as delicate as a tulip and was easily broken, which I believe contributes to the high cost it commands today. It's rare to find one in mint condition.
