Is Anyone Else Dying To Review?
Is it just me, or is anyone else dying to discuss the music? 'Cause I want to tell everyone what I think, and can't wait to hear opinions on mine. Anyone? I'm dying over here!
COME ON FRIDAY!!!
I know this pales in comparison to the real news of the day, but still..Dying!!

Okay - So I just managed to get all the music today! (Hubby has a thing about paying for music.)
Going to be desperately listening over today and tomorrow. Feeling the pressure!
Unfortunately due to my parents' visit, I won't be able to contribute much until Tuesday... How do you want to handle the wrap up anyway? We could
a) Have one huge-ass post where everyone comments about everything at their own leisure.
b) Each person writes up their own reaction post.
c) Each song is addressed in a different post one at a time.
Miko did you draw that?
JSP, to hell with your parents, I want to hear your opinion on Friday! Just 'cause they are traveling across the country (assuming they are still in RI) doesn't excuse you...for gods sake YOU picked Friday.
(Just kidding BTW.) I think each person does a post on what they thought of the music, then we can all discuss (my guess is, one or two posts end up being where everyone gathers).
DCD, I hate paying for music too, so I sympathize with him...
(Man, I just keep looking at pictures of that kid, brings back memories)
And no, I didn't draw that, if I do post a drawing of mine, you will recognize it by the stick figures drawn in crayon.
Paying for music is for suckers, I haven't paid for music since Napster (and my brother). AC, it was you hubby that introduced me to getting free music!
Well, I did end up having to pay for a few tunes - most of them were acquired by "other means"...heh, heh.
Well how's about y'all share the secret to free music? Perhaps via e-mail so as to not attract attention from "the man". "The man" always trying to keep middle-class white men down yo.
I always pay for my music. It may be considered a bad habit but at least I can sleep at night unlike you good-for-nothing thieving bastards.
LOL, JSP! I seem to be the only one in my household worried that the FBI is going to show up at our door someday!
i finally got my shuffle loaded today- with itunes! plus lots of tech support from husband. argh. though he did slip in our "first song" from when we got married which is kind of romantic. :)
my work deadline will make blogging challenging before tuesday but i will participate friday as possible.
AC I's gots'ta know - what's your "first song"? Ours is The Shining by Badly Drawn Boy. Or is it one of those special things just between the two of you? ('Cuz if it is I'm warning you right now that I'm gonna I'm roll my eyes in disgust.)
After composing that last comment I've gotta vent - I am so goddamn sick of worrying about !'s, ( )'s,-'s, ;'s, :'s, and most of all " "'s...
johnny sweatpants, i shouldn't admit it to you or anyone, but our first song was "our love is here to stay" sung by gene kelly from the american in paris soundtrack (eye roll please). what's worse, the title of the song is also the inscription inside our wedding bands (double eye roll). worst of all, i still love the song (and movie). oh lord, your eyes are gonna roll right out of their sockets.
Badly Drawn Boy, huh? "A Minor Incident" was of the 4-5 choices I finally cut in picking my 2.
I love "A Minor Incident" so much that I can't listen to it more than once a year. That song goes straight for the jugular.
Unfortunately I've been disappointed with every album he's put out since! It went from - incredible debut album (Hour of Bewilderbeast)- to awesome/interesting soundtrack sidestep (About A Boy)- to lame album - to really lame album - to ok album but it's too late etc. I'll keep listening to whatever he's got to say though...
Yeah, "Minor Incident" is so great it's the song that finally got me off my ass to enroll in a guitar class. (Plus I realized I could take undergrad classes for free!)
I don't have any of his other albums though--I'll have to grab Bewilderbeast.
I don't have strong feelings about free music downloads, but for some reason I never do it. A buck a song is just so reasonable.
I do have strong feelings about that picture. Eeyuck. I keep fearing the picture of Zack is going ot open his eyes and freak out.
Presto! Now it's a cute purple unicorn...ask and you shall receive.
