Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes confirmed and dated
From denofgeek, The sequel to Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes will arrive in summer 2014…
It’s little surprise this one, but Fox has officially confirmed its planned sequel to the very strong Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes. Rise managed to resurrect a franchise that was looking utterly dormant, with Rupert Wyatt’s film firmly putting in the past Tim Burton’s disastrous reboot of sorts a decade earlier.
Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes was a sizeable box office and critical hit, banking nearly half a billion dollars in cinemas alone. The follow-up will, it’s been confirmed, go by the name of Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes, with Wyatt once more directing. This is good news.
What’s more, the release date for the film has been announced, too: you can expect it on May 23rd 2014. That's pretty much everything we've got on the film at the moment, but as more emerges, we'll send it your way. Or, more realistically, post it on the site...
