High Contrast
I've seen the trailer for the animated movie Renaissance a couple of times and I'm really hooked. On the admittable down side, the character animation doesn't look all that amazing, and the plot seems a rather paint-by-numbers affair involving a beautiful kidnapped scientist being sought by a hard-boiled investigator in the employ of a monolithic corporation. But on the big screen the images are damn striking, and the subject matter lends itself to a ton of compelling visuals.
Comparisons to the Sin City movie are inevitable, but I think this is something different.
