Just make it already
The Hollywood Reporter says that Marvel talked about the live-action The Avengers feature:
'Some time after Marvel Entertainment unleashes "Iron Man," "The Incredible Hulk" and a few other choice superheroes as stars of their own feature films, the company intends to release a live-action "The Avengers." Set to pen the screenplay is Zak Penn, the writer behind the last two X-Men movies from 20th Century Fox and Marvel. Executives spoke briefly about their "Avengers" plan Wednesday during a presentation to Wall Street analysts at the Merrill Lynch Media & Entertainment Conference in Pasadena. The comic book "The Avengers" began as a team consisting of superheroes Thor, Ant-Man, Wasp, Iron Man and Hulk. Later, Captain America and a host of others joined. Marvel calls the Avengers "Earth's mightiest heroes."'

Well, it won't be any good if they don't include Rom, Space Knight in the group.
Seriously, Rom fucking Space Knight? That's him, middle row left. How lame is that?
Yeah, there are a whole slew of half-assed superheroes in that shot (which is great by the way). Don't get me started on Dazzler because I have neither the time nor the energy. Then there's Hawkeye, living his life as if there were no Green Arrow, but he knows the truth. And Luke Cage is totally insignificant without Iron Fist.
Anyone know who the tool bag in the bottom middle is?
It's hard to be sure becuause his little forehead thingy is all electrified, but I'm pretty sure that's Black Bolt.
I should point out that Luke Cage is a totally legit character on his own these days. It's a pretty recent development.
