AM Poster Post: 'You Don't Mess With the Zohan' Bursts with Comedy
From iwatchstuff, Sometimes a movie is so engorged with raw comedy that it transcends its own wallpaper-style poster, bursting through it with hilarious props, the gut-bustingly funny yet critical, uneven eyebrows of The Rock, and Adam Sandler. So much hilarity simply can be held within the thickness of a sheet of glossy paper, and Sandler dares you to stare down the glowing, strangely-cordless barrel of comedy. Will you dare? Warning: daring will cost you around $11, and provides about the same level of fulfillment as a saltine.

Is he going to play the whole role in that "baby talk" voice of his? (Sometimes he does and sometimes not.)
Unclear. I haven't been able to watch his movies for years, he rubs me the wrong way.
The only one I actually like is The Wedding Singer, which is actually kind of brilliant. Apparently it's very differerent from all the rest of his movies. (I don't know; I avoid him too.)
JPX and I have always disagreed on Sandler. I think Billy Madison and Happy Gilmore are hysterically funny and absurd. Ben Stiller has yet to top his comedic performance in Happy Gilmore. And I still laugh to this day when I think of the judge's reaction to Billy Madison's heartfelt speech. After thunderous applause, you expect him to be touched when he states "Mr. Madison, what you have just said is the most insanely idiotic thing that I have ever heard in my entire life. Not once in your rambling, incoherent speech did you ever come close to what can be considered a rational thought. Everyone in the room is now dumber after having heard you. I award you no points and may god have mercy on your soul."
Wedding Singer was the last watchable movie he made. Everything since has been excruciating.
I liked Wedding Singer as well - of course, I'm a sucker for 80s new wave...
I agree, I like Happy Gilmore and Billy Madison, but not having watched them in years, they may not hold up for me.I also liked the Wedding Singer, probably the best, and hate eveything after that. I think Little Nicki may have been his wost. I think most of these over the top comic actors get tiring over time. Jim Carey comes to mind.
....and I want to punch Adam Sandler in the face when he talks "baby talk."
LOVE The Wedding Singer - totally and completely. Blandwich on the rest.
However - I did enjoy him during his younger days on SNL.
"I'm crazy protractor head!"
what's wrong with punch-drunk love?
I HATE when he does the Chaunaka song, it makes me mental.
Punch Drunk Love was good but it wasn't his movie and it wasn't really a comedy.
Noooo....Punch Drunk Love was bad. So bad!
