Reshoots Scheduled For Where The Wild Things Are

From cinemablend, It’s been months since the dispute over initial screenings of Where the Wild Things, which led to rumors of possible reshoots. Stars came to the defense of the initial cut of the picture as assembled by director Spike Jonze, but word was that the studio wanted a major overhaul of the picture, with rumors that it was too terrifying for kids.

Although we’re not sure how extensive they may be, it looks like those reshoots are getting ready to happen after all. Bloody-disgusting reports that casting calls have been put out for a variety of stand-ins. That still doesn’t help determine what is being reshot though, just that the movie is going back into the photography stage from June 5th through the 30th.

Here’s hoping the reshoots are following the last rumor we reported on and are only to fix some animation issues and script problems. More importantly, let’s hope Spike Jonze is involved in the reshoots and isn’t being cut out as the initial rumors indicated.

Since it's kind of weird that this movie exists at all I'm not too worried about its problems, but this does sound like some serious lame-ifying is going down. Too bad.

What's wrong with "terrifying for kids?"
