Beverly Hills Chihuahua, most annoying trailer ever? Yes, declares JPX
A good trailer fills you with excitement and anticipation, it makes you want to see the movie it’s advertising right now. An especially good trailer invites itself to be watched over and over again.
In short, a good trailer is everything this trailer is NOT.
How bad is the trailer for “Beverly Hills Chihuahua”? Bad enough that the venerable “NY Times” (the NEW YORK TIMES!) wrote about its awfulness. Bad enough that it’s spawned a whole series of Youtube reaction videos.
Bad enough that star George Lopez (the STAR of the movie!) called it “the most annoying trailer you’ve ever witnessed in your life.”
Seriously.
“If you’ve seen the trailer, it’s either the greatest trailer you’ve ever seen if you’re 10, or the most annoying trailer you’ve ever witnessed in your life if you’re an adult,” Lopez confessed, laughing. “Disney’s doing a fantastic job of hooking the kids — they can’t wait. And if they hook the kids? The parents GOTTA take them!”
(Sample line from trailer’s song: “We’re the real hot dogs. Yo! Hold the bun.”)
Really, we have to give Lopez credit for his daring honesty. Bless him. And since we’re crediting his honesty, we’d be remiss if we didn’t add that he also truly thinks it’s going to be a “good film.”
But what do you think? What’s the funniest reaction to the “BHC” trailer you’ve seen? Looking forward to the movie? Sound off below.
I challenge you to get through the trailer

No way! I already saw that trailer in front of WALL-E, thank you very much. And there's a big honking billboard for this at the end of my street. Dreadful.
I saw this trailer when JPX and I almost saw WALL-E, but had to leave because a kid threatened to ruin our movie experience. Anyway, it was so bad it made me want to shoot myself.
