JPX and Whirlygirl's excellent adventure

Here we are 10 minutes into our trip to Block Island. The boat was packed, as evidenced by the next photo,

Just look at the hoard of people. Check out that annoying redheaded girl. Just from the picture alone you can tell that she was whining about something the entire trip. Next we have two seagulls that followed us the entire 55 minute trip. One balding guy started throwing food to them and the next thing you know they were above our head threatening to shit. Anyway, I decided to throw some pretzels their way but the wind kept blowing them back onto the ship and onto some chick's head below us, heh, heh.

At last we arrived. It was a perfect day, one of those very rare days in New England where you don't want to kill yourself for living here.

We wandered for about a mile to attend an art festival. Whirly and I both purchased cool prints. Whirly wanted me to mention that she'll post her print later. Anyhoo, here's a tranquil spot near the art show,

Naturally all this walking around made us parched. I suggested we purchase some beverages and Whirly insisted on beer,

Following our libations we hit the beach,

Although we don't have a picture, at one point a woman in front of our blanket mounted her boyfriend for a little dry humping and cock grabbing. Whirly and I were so stunned that neither of us had the foresight to capture this moment for the blog. Later in the day I became obsessed with freeing crabs from their seagull captors. However, no matter how quickly I ran toward the seagulls, they always managed to elude me with their crabs. Why was I trying to save crabs anyway? That doesn't make any sense, I hate crabs, they pinch you in the water.

We took the 8pm ferry back. Whirly was in a great mood because she had just finished a mammoth waffle cone with peanut butter ice cream,

I, on the other hand, was tired of Whirly taking pictures of me every second,

And thus ended a pleasant adventure to Block Island. Next week it will probably snow here.

That's great! What a nice day.

I haven't been to Block Island since I was a kid. All five of my siblings worked there during at least one summer, but I never went there to visit.

But, I used to get pretty seasick on that trip.
