(1973) **A government biological warfare lab makes a big whoopsie and infects a town with something that makes them go crazy. While the government officials and lots of army guys try to secure the perimeter and quarantine the town five rogue residents try to escape.
I hated this movie. There was entirely too much film spent on army guys yelling at each other and not near enough on little old ladies stabbing people with knitting needles. Romero tried desperately to make this into a serious film but what he succeeded at was making it boring. The characters were unlikeable and the army guys were unbearable. The only reason it got 2 stars from me is for a few really cool death scenes like the knitting needle incident. Otherwise I have to say it was just a steaming pile of poop.
