Daily Spider-Man: Kingpin utters saddest line ever in the history of newspaper comics

Kingpin genuinely seems bummed out. What does this mean for Alcatraz? Will it collapse? I still don't know if the Alcatraz in this strip is still a working prison. It would be pretty poor security if Kingpin was able to build a huge underground lair underneath a prison without anyone noticing. If, on the other hand, Alcatraz is a tourist attraction there would be tons of people wandering around (as JSP noted earlier).

Does this mean that all of them, including Kingpin, are going to take the midget sub back together? How the hell are they going to get out of there? Bring on Saturday's strip already - Btoom!

Oh my god what an awkward sub ride that's gonna be! I'm imagining a lot of tense looks and muzak in the background.

It's the inclusion of the words "incredible" and "beneath the bay" that tug my heartstrings so. "My incredible hideout beneath the bay -- it's collapsing!" Those are the words of a man watching his dreams die. His fabulous dreams.
