For the love of God just keep Tucker out of it

From ifitsmovies, "Collider got a chance to speak to director Luc Besson (Fifth Element), who revealed that he's thinking about getting back to sci-fi, and possibly even work on a trilogy.

When asked about any upcoming sci-fi projects, Besson replied: "I'm going to try to do it again. I'm going to try and do a trilogy." He added that he already has an idea of what he wants to do.He went on to say that the "Fifth Element" was originally going to be a trilogy but his producer "didn't have the guts." He also talked about the huge hurdles he had to overcome to make the film and that if he'd waited about a year to make the movie, it would've been tremendously easier.

At this point, Besson is concentrating on bringing another installment of "Arthur and the Invisibles" to the big screen."

I'd love to see more of that world again; for me it's one of the benchmarks of science fiction cinema.

That's despite the handful of glaring problems, which to my mind (brace for slap) does NOT include Chris Tucker's character.

I thought Fifth Element was 2/3 perfect. Once Chris showed up I couldn't stand it.

But I agree, I'd love to see some more of that universe.
