Box Office
From cinemablend, Is it summertime yet? The US box office continues to languish under the weight of cinematic mediocrity and what appears to be a delayed reaction to the American financial crisis. Our best hope? Summer blockbusters...and soon.
Despite there being four new entries this weekend, none could pop last weekend's Hop from its top spot. The animated holiday-ish flick added another $21 million to its sizable week long totals. That left the closest competition, Jason Winer's Arthur remake, eating bunny track dust in second place with a distant $12 million.
Adventure flick Hanna nabbed a close third place behind Arthur, leaving based-on-a-true-story Soul Surfer in the number four spot with only $11 million.
Quirky fantasy comedy Your Highness had no magic to speak of. With only $9 million it settled for an unimpressive sixth place behind low-budget horror flick Insidious.

Wow! I had no idea that you knew of such things!
