It was bothering me so I checked into it...
I didn't sleep well last night because something just didn't add up. I couldn't for the life of me think any logical reason why Rex Morgan MD would dress up like a clown so I did a little research. Turns out the strip JPX used was taken from this website and the clown getup was was added in by a blogging yukster*. Take a look below at the original:

The (un)interesting thing is that the modified version is somehow less amusing than the original.
Thanks for clearing that up, it was bothering me too.
I think the modified version is way funnier than the original.
For the record, I found that Rex Morgan strip from Google Images, I never knew that it was a doctored strip. I still find it hilarious.
