(2011) ***
One of the better short segment films I’ve seen. This film consists of six segments each directed by a different person, one of which (Wet Dreams) was directed and also starred the beloved Tom Savini. The common issue with these film collection types is that one segment is a stand out while the others are just a bore fest. Not so in this case, although some are clearly better then others, they are all quite entertaining and some of them are pretty gross too.

The film opens with a strange girl wandering into what looks to be an old abandoned theater. A human sized puppet greets her on the stage that invites her to enjoy the show. A screen opens up to her and the first segment, Mother of Toads, begins. Two tourists happen on a witchy woman who invites them to see her necronomicon. This one falls under the gross category due to a particularly nasty sex scene between two slime covered lovers. It involves a lot of licking. Eeeeeeew! In, I Love You; an obsessed lover takes things too far. Wet Dreams gives a real jerk his comeuppance, The Accident is an unfortunate life lesson for a little girl. Vision Stains, clearly the most disturbing of the films, follows a writer obsessed with extracting eyeball fluid from her victims then injecting it into her own eye so she may experience their lives. Lastly, we have Sweets, a feature that give us a glimpse into the disgusting world of sex & food mingled together. Really gross; make sure you put the popcorn away before you watch that last one. A pretty fun watch altogether.

Cool! Always great to find an anthology flick that delivers. I like those stills, too. They have an old school look to them. The giant heart on the wall behind the last supper scene is particularly cool.
It does seem like anthologies are hit and miss. Cool that you found a decent one!
Look closely at that last picture.
I have a hard time getting motivated to see anthology flicks, but yeah, this one does look good.
Ooh, drag. I thought that was a finger.
Hehehe
Sounds awesome. So I take it that each segment is roughly 15 minutes long? Perfect for my short attention span!
The eyeball pic gives me the willies!
"Wet Dreams gives a real jerk his comeuppance."
by the end of the month, this will still be one of the most imagery rich (and therefore totally gross) sentences written by any of us.
I'll take my penis scrambled, thanks! Lol
i think we've found the screenshot to beat.
