Wait, I’m confused (again). Yesterday Spider-Man was going to attempt to swim to the bottom of the ocean where all of Kingpin’s cronies appeared to be languishing (with their eyes wide open I might add). Today they are all at the surface and Spider-Man is told by the scientist, “You can’t save them all”. Save them all from what? Aren't they just a few feet from Alcatraz? Whether the strip in Spider-Man world is presenting Alcatraz as a functional prison or as a tourist attraction, there would be tons of people around including fisherman. I still think it’s funny that Kingpin needed a midget sub for a boat ride that’s about 10 minutes long from the shore.
Agreed, JPX! Why would KP have needed a sub when all these other yahoos apparently swam to the surface. Also - look at those five flailing around. They made it to the top of the water, why all the flailing? Clearly they can swim...
Who the hell does this Dr. Lauren think she is? How would she know how many drowning scientists a SUPERHERO can save? They all seem to be conscious. All they need to do is tread water for a minute or two until Spidey and DD get to them.
I feel like we were cheated out of several strips where Spider-Man swims to the bottom of the bay to rescue as many of the bad guys as he could - just like Tony Stark did with that airplane sequence in IM3!
Now I'm confused.. Are the scientists and the cronies one and the same? In yesterday's strip Spidey thought "Uh-oh, looks like the Kingpin left his scientists behind."
Now I'm confused.
