Basically, what we have here is all the "Bruce Wayne in Metropolis" stuff from the latest Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer, inserted into Man of Steel at the appropriate time so you can see both why Bruce Wayne is upset, and why he's unfairly blaming Superman for the actions of Zod.

That is actually quite helpful. I was watching a YouTube vid of the MoS final fight to try to answer that exact question. And I didn't figure it out.
