'Three's Company' Movie To Shockingly Place Man, Women in Single Apartment

From iwatchstuff, New Line has plans to once again explore that timeless premise of a straight man pretending to be gay so that a landlord will let him live with women he is not married to. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the studio apparently got drunk watching TV Land and started negotiations to pick up the movie rights to Three's Company, the late '70s sitcom that saw John Ritter, Joyce DeWitt, and, originally, Suzanne Somers sharing a Santa Monica apartment and tirelessly prolonging a sexual comedy of errors. Writers Abby Kohn and Marc Silverstein, who previously produced a tedious example of gender roles with He's Just Not That Into You, are already attached to handle the script. As there is absolutely no way this premise plays in the present day, it's said the film will be a '70s period piece, set in that blissful time before I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry mined faux homosexuality for comedy gold.
