J.J. Abrams Turning Rod Serling's Final Script into a Miniseries

Like fellow thought-dead entities Star Wars and Star Trek, the decomposing brain of Rod Serling is getting a new life to begin with a Bad Robot production card. The J.J. Abrams-run company has reportedly made a deal with Serling's estate to develop the Twilight Zone creator and multiple Emmy-winner's final unproduced screenplay, The Stops Along the Way, as a miniseries. In the spirit of everything Bad Robot touches, details of the script are now Abrams' most precious secrets, but we do know that the limited series form was Serling's original intent, and the widow Serling teased that it involves "a little bit of fantasy, a little bit of imagination [and] takes place over a long period of time." Thankfully, that long period this time won't take six seasons.
