Ugh, I second your reaction - that second panel is just disgusting! How much "webbing" is Spider-Man able to produce? Why doesn't he always dump that amount of "webbing" on his foes? It would be easier to immobilize them that way than by spinning a web.

Wait, wait, wait. Two days ago Spidey was all grandma about Tarantula throwing that guy out the window but today he just splopted those guys in the helicopter and surely sent them to their doom?? Not cool, man.
Someday I'll stop laughing over "splopted," but not today.
