
I saw this printed in the back of an issue of Cerebus a few months after Jim Henson died. One of those things that gets to me even when I just remember it.

Amazing.
When actual time/mortality is introduced into stories where it doesn't belong (like stuff for kids) it's especially searing and jarring. There's a Tintin pastiche I bought in Paris that has Snowy dying (with Tintin holding the body) and it's fucking unbearable.
Very worthy. And damn sad.
