I have a feeling JPX's prediction from a while ago is correct and DD is faking all this in order to find the hideout. If so, I bet he didn't tell Spidey about it because... well, why bother?

Good call, Octo! Kingpin's lair might be a "secret" I'm I'm pretty sure that most people are able to see the giant-ass floating TV screen, right? Also, Alcatraz is a popular tourist attraction so it's probably not the smartest place to build a secret hideout.
